Middelburg Town Hall
Middelburg has one of the most beautiful town halls in the Netherlands. On Saturdays and Sundays between November and March, guided tours are provided through the late-Gothic part. Wandering through the halls and rooms, it is difficult to imagine that this town hall was almost destroyed on 17 May 1940.
'Zeeuws Maritiem MuZEEum' (Maritime Museum of Zeeland)
This beautiful muSEAum brings to life the greatest maritime history of Zeeland. In the beautifully restored Lampsinshuis dating from 1641 the greatest maritime history of Zeeland is presented in an interesting, active way, divided into four themes: Water, Work, Glory and Adventure.
The muSEAum is particularly exciting for children, who can take part in various educational games, such as “You are a ship’s cook. What do you buy? ”Brasserie 'De Gecroonde Liefde' provides a welcoming atmosphere for a cup of coffee and gateaux or lunch.
Zeeland, Land of Wine
Zeeland also has a real vineyard: 'De Druivengaarde'. Read about the various types of grape on the information signs as you wander through the vineyard. The red and white wines are also available for tasting or you can take a guided tour.
